CREW : M Wadham | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Result - Lost to Stourport by 1 length This was Matt Wadham‘s first ever race in a single scull and, that considered, he did extremely well. He was up against
a 14 stone, 6 foot 3 inches tall sculler from Stourport, probably ten years his senior. Half way along the course the two
scullers were neck and neck but Matt had strayed port side somewhat and would have to move back at some stage. He
did this in the last half of the race and with 200 metres to go he was still neck and neck with the Stourport ”giant•. At
this point the latter took the rating up several pips and moved away from Matt. Matt made a charge for the line himself
but by this point it was too late and Stourport had it.
