The Junior Colts VIII having been selected, a small group of oarsmen were left. Largely due to the encouragement and enthusiasm of James Brown, a four was formed, eventually compet- ing at Shearwater and Reading Town. The crew included two novices and an ex-cox, and it is greatly to their credit that at Shearwater they notched up a couple of wins. They did not win at Reading, but acquitted themselves very honour- ably nonetheless. The crew's performance was most praiseworthy, and promises much for next year's season. Another Four got together for Llandaff Regatta after the end of term, and won their events on both days.
