Coffee Mugs

Coffee mugs with the Bluefriars Emblem and a drawing of the Aqueduct are being made, and will be ready by the time this newsletter is pub- lished. They will be on sale for £1.20 each, or 6 for £6 (i.e. buy 5, get one free.) The initial order is for a limited number, and they will be sold on a first come first served basis. Good for Christ- mas presents - and profits will go to Bluefriars funds.

Ties

Bluefriars Ties are available to members only at £5 each.

Henley Tickets

I am always grateful for Henley tickets, so that the Monkton crew can be taken into the Enclosure. Many thanks to members who give me tickets each year.

Blazers

I am always grateful for old rowing blazers. New ones are expensive, and members of the 1st and 2nd VIlls (and their parents!) are grateful for them.

Ties, Tracksuits and Sweatshirts

Bluefriars Ties are available for rowing members and Honorary Members only. Tracksuits suitable for use by members of the School Boat Club are usually in stock, or can be obtained to order. These are cheaper than those obtainable elsewhere, and all members of school crews are encouraged to buy them, so that they are well-turned out when representing the school.

Sweatshirts are produced for 1st and 2nd VIIIs (and occasionally for other crews), and also for supporters. These are suitable for wear either on cold river banks or as everyday casual wear.

Please use the order form if you want any of these items. All profits go into Bluefriars funds.

Bluefriars Head

The Bluefriars Small Boats Head Race will be held at Saltford on Saturday 21 November.

Typesetting

This edition of the newsletter has been typeset from material prepared on micro-computers at school. The result is by no means perfect, as the Editor has learnt from scratch while getting the edition ready. Apologies for mistakes and lack of artistic skill. I'll try harder next time.

Funds

As usual, the funds which are given to Bluefriars have been well used this year. Holiday row- ing was financed more than ever by the Club. We are most grateful for a very large anonymous donation which will be put towards holiday row- ing and special items of equipment. We bought a set of weights this year, as well as batteries and amplifying equipment. Rating watches are on the agenda for next year. Profits from coffee mugs, ties and the Bluefriars Head will all go towards our funds.

On behalf of the users of the funds, I thank all subscribers most sincerely for their continued generous support.
