Where the money has been spent

As more and more money is being donated to the Bluefriars Charitable Trust it is only right and just to let you know where your money has gone. Over £148,000 has been invested since 1996 into youth rowing both at Monkton and at local rowing clubs. Here is a short break-down of the grants made in 2007/2008.

MCSBC and its members received £9,600, which was spent on bursaries, physiotherapy, sculls and other equipment, J15 Training Camp and the Nantes Training Camp.

Other clubs received £1,800 - a set of sculls, rowing machine and a coaching course.

We are very grateful to all who donate to the Bluefriars Trust and your help is invaluable to the success of the BC. Our thanks must also go to the trustees and in particular JMB who ensures that Bluefriars goes from strength to strength. We wear the Bluefriar on all of our kit with pride and we try to represent everyone involved both past and present to the highest standard on and off the water.

On behalf of everyone involved with MCSBC we thank you.
