A full version of the accounts is published on the Charity Commission website. Our total regular annual income is approximately £12,000. The majority of this is used to support rowing at Monkon in various ways. In most years we also receive donations which enable us to support special projects both at MCSBC and at other clubs with junior and student membership.
In 2008/9 the support given to Monkton included bursaries and equipment as well as the traditional funding of individuals and crews taking part in holiday training and competition.
We supplied two rowing machines to the local Youth Offenders Institution and we paid for some of the expenses of a young man (not from Monkton) who needed help to enable him to row for Great Britain.
